My research interests focus on the intersection of Climate Science and Machine Learning. In this time of the "Deep Learning Revolution", I want to better understand how machine learning can be applied to both get us around existing computational deadlocks constraining climate modeling and reveal physical details in our atmosphere that would otherwise remain elusive. Additionally, I have experience analyzing high-resolution gridded data to study extreme precipitation spatial trends and practical experience collecting observational data in a field project researching the variability in mountain microclimates.
